The City of Ottawa’s Nightlife Commissioner Office is recuiting at-large community members to form its nightlife council! The application period is open until 11 October 2024.

As part of the fall Wake Up! program, firefighters from Ottawa Fire Services will visit homes across the city next week to ensure smoke and carbon monoxide alarms are present and working.

As part of the continued resident engagement efforts for the new Zoning By-law, staff will be holding a series of in-person workshops across the city in October and November.

The City of Ottawa wants you to name a city snowplow! Between now and 30 September, children and youth aged 16 and under may submit name ideas for our plows.

On Labour Day, Monday 2 September, two nearby outdoor pools will welcome four-legged residents for an hour of free fun right after they close for the season, but just before staff begin draining them!

Service on O-Train Line 1 between St-Laurent and Blair stations will be suspended all day Sunday 25 August to accommodate Stage 2 tie-in work for the eastern extension. R1 replacement bus service will operate every 10 minutes between St-Laurent and Blair stations.
