The Friesen Family is hosting their annual Christmas Food Drive for the Barrhaven Food Cupboard. Come on by and enjoy the musical light show and the thousands of lights on display. We’ve added more lights and decorations. Take a family photo.
Drop off canned and non perishable food items, cash, or scan the QR code to make a donation directly to the Barrhaven Food Cupboard.
A Very Retro Christmas
Celebrate the holidays with retro 1970s, 80s and 90s flair at Nepean Museum. A Very Retro Christmas is the perfect way for kids and their families to connect across generations through vintage toys and games, throwback-inspired crafts, storytelling and a themed scavenger hunt. Activities are best suited for children ages 6 to 12. This is a drop-in style program; admission is paid at the door. Cost: $20.12 per family (two adults and accompanying children).
2024 OC Transpo/Loblaw Holiday Food Drive
OC Transpo is holding its 40th annual OC Transpo/Loblaw Holiday Food Drive on Saturday, December 14, from 10 am to 5 pm at participating locations, including Loblaws Barrhaven (3201 Greenbank Rd) and McDonough’s Your Independent Grocer (3777 Strandherd Dr)
New Year's Eve blowout!
After a successful inaugural New Year's Eve afternoon, we’re doing it once again as we keep the fun going in Barrhaven to end the year!

No donation required to get FREE seeds! The seed catalogue and instructions are available on our website. We also have tutorials on how to harvest and wintersow seeds on our YouTube channel. Each seed packet has enough seeds for a minimum of 3-5 plants.

Household hazardous waste depot (Barrhaven)
A household hazardous waste depot will be available in Barrhaven Saturday 19 October, 8:00 am to 4:00 pm at the Strandherd snow dump.
