The Food Bank needs our support now more than ever to provide food to those in our community who are struggling to make ends meet.
You can make an online donation through the Ottawa Food Bank’s website until December 2.
Last year, the Ottawa Food Bank spent over $3.5 million on food. This year, they are on track to spend $6 million to ensure they are able to keep up with demand and provide a variety of nutritious food options. Because they obtain food in such large quantities and have amazing food industry partners and supporters, the Ottawa Food Bank is able to make your donation go further. This means that every $1 donated equals $5 of food delivered to the community.
You can also place non-perishable items in the Ottawa Food Bank donation bins or make a monetary donation at the cash register at participating grocery stores on Saturday, December 3. Visit the Ottawa Food Bank’s website for a full list of their most needed non-perishable donations.
Volunteers needed
Volunteers are still needed to support the external food drive at stores throughout Ottawa on Saturday, December 3 from 10 am to 1:30 pm and 1:30 pm to 5 pm. If you would like to register to volunteer, please visit the Ottawa Food Bank’s online volunteer registration site.
