Special update: Sprung structure shelter

Thank you to the approximately 425 residents who attended yesterday’s virtual information session. About an hour before the session, City staff released a memo sharing the results of their detailed site evaluations and selection scoring criteria. Two sites, both outside Barrhaven, were ranked the highest to support a sprung structure shelter.

Reflecting on yesterday

Yesterday’s news is never easy, but the tragic and gruesome circumstances and how close to home it happened made it even more difficult to process. Our community is reeling from the loss of six people to a tragic, senseless act of violence. They were family to some, friends to others, but neighbours to all of us.

I owe you an explanation

I also combatted the mis- and disinformation about Lansdowne 2.0 and sought out the true implications of yesterday’s vote. The more I questioned and scrutinised, the closer I got to the conclusion yesterday’s vote, despite its importance, really was a nothingburger.
