National Seniors Day 2024
Tuesday 1 October is National Seniors Day.
The City has organised a virtual event to celebrate and honour the contributions of older adults in Ottawa and across Canada to value their experience, their wisdom, and their involvement in all aspects of our community.
This year’s celebration will include a keynote speaker and a proclamation to recognize National Seniors Day.
Keynote speaker Ashton Applewhite will be joining to raise awareness around ageism.
Ashton is a world-renowned anti-ageism activist and author who has spoken at venues that range from community centres, universities, and even the TED Talk main stage!
