Residents asked to stay off sports fields

The City of Ottawa is asking residents, rental contract holders and organizers of large public events to stay off all municipal ball diamonds and sports fields. League conveners for ball diamonds will be contacted directly to advise that May 1 season opening for ball fields is being delayed.

Higher than normal Ottawa River flooding expected this week

Based on information provided by conservation authorities, including the Ottawa River Regulation Planning Board, the City of Ottawa is expecting flood levels along the Ottawa River to rise above normal levels by Wednesday or Thursday this week.
