How can the City of Ottawa support the uptake of electric vehicles?
Moving away from gas and diesel vehicles is one of the most important actions that we can take to achieve Ottawa’s greenhouse gas reduction targets. To support the uptake of electric vehicles, the City of Ottawa is developing a personal electric vehicle strategy.
Fall 2023: Cleaning the Capital
The Cleaning the Capital campaign is a citywide cleanup that occurs in the spring and fall of every year. Residents come together as a community and combine efforts to make our city clean and green. Litter pickup projects must be registered, and participating teams, upon request, receive a cleanup starter kit to assist them with their projects.
Highway 417 will close August 10 to 14 for bridge replacement
The Ministry of Transportation Ontario will be closing sections of Highway 417 for the rapid bridge replacement over Percy Street, starting Thursday, August 10-Monday, August 14.

The City of Ottawa is home to many animal species that flourish in a human or urban environment. This includes unwanted wildlife or species such squirrels, mice and rats that can damage homes or properties, and which may in rare cases transmit disease.

Ottawa Tourism has launched the Visit Ottawa Pass, a virtual attractions pass which rolls admission to seven attractions into one price point and easy to use virtual ticket.
Colonel By Day schedule changes
The City of Ottawa would like to remind residents of the following schedule changes and impacts to City services for the Colonel By Day holiday on Monday, August 7. Garbage collection will be delayed by one day.
