Children aged 12 and under ride free on OC Transpo
As of July 1, children aged 12 and under ride OC Transpo for free. This includes OC Transpo buses, trains and Para Transpo. Previously, free service was available to children aged seven and under.

Council updates: June 28, 2023
Council approved the Ottawa Paramedic Service’s investment plan, as well as an update to the Urban Forest Management Plan. Other agenda items included amendments to the Use of Care of Roads By-Law and the tabling of the 2023-2026 Term of Council Priorities.
Ottawa Public Library introduces Flex Card
Ottawa Public Library is now offering a new membership card that will give Ottawa residents without photo ID and/or proof of an Ottawa address full access to our services and access to borrowing five items from our core collection. This new card – the Flex Card – is available at our 33 branches.
